Are you ready to say “Yes” again to exercise or even yard work without worrying about your back –or your knees–or something else hurting?

Yes, you can stop holding your breath during every activity, wondering whether you’ll get away with it this time, and start living the active lifestyle you’ve been longing for

Welcome to Re-Kinect. You’re likely here because something hurts when you move. Or maybe it’s more than one something. I can help you move better so you can move more… and more often!

Re-Kinect is Movement Re-education

Modern life is full of conveniences that enable us to do many great things. But in the process of making life easier, we’ve inadvertently engineered out much of the movement variety that kept our even our grandparents moving better than we do now.. Less diversity of movement has led to more discomfort, as we perform some tasks too much and other tasks far too little.

Just think: when was the last time you had to twist around to see behind you, reach high overhead, or sit down on the floor? Not moving in these ways leads to stiffness in some parts and too much movement in others. And that leads to pain.

But we can change that. Know that your body is a miracle–even if it’s hurting right now. It’s a highly sophisticated and adaptable machine, endowed with its own intelligence–not just from your brain, but your entire nervous system. And it’s on your side. Always.

So if you’re ready to move like a thriving modern human–not just a surviving one–let’s get started!

I help people get beyond their limitations and get back to doing the activities they love.

If you’re tired of being on the not-so-merry-go-round of recurring pain, you’re in the right place!

Let me show you how.

Lower Back Mastery

My signature program utilizes my proven methodology to improve mobility in your stiffest places, restore your deepest core muscles, and help you rebalance the muscles of the pelvis, for a healthy, functional lower back. Even if you’re struggling with neck or shoulder pain, this is the best place to start, to give your neck and shoulders the strong and stable foundation they need to move well again.

About my Movement Re-wiring method:

My Movement Re-wiring method is based on the understanding that painful movement patterns are a Nervous System problem, and not a muscle problem. As you’ve likely discovered, strength training does not help a painful back. But you can restore healthy movement by working with the nervous system.

We do this by creating a low-challenge pain-free exercise environment. Most of the “rewiring” work is done in Pillars 1 and 2 (below.) Before you add strength, you must move better at your major joints, and with control. Once healthy movement patterns are restored, we add strength for durability and resilience in pillar 3.

Since movement problems are unique to every individual, all Re-Kinect services begin with a Movement Assessment to determine what the program priorities are before we proceed.

Improve Alignment & Mobility

Have you noticed that your posture isn't as good as it used to be? Maybe one shoulder is a bit higher than the other or one hip is tighter than the other.

Changes in posture are often the result of muscle imbalances that arise over time. Left unchecked, these imbalances can lead to self-perpetuating cycles that worsen over time of injury.

Addressing these first ensure that as you add more challenging movements, your body has the ability to tolerate them without compensating or breaking down

Improve Stability
/Control

Better movement with less stiffness is great, but if you lack control over that movement, you risk injury and over-use.

Would you want to drive a car with bad brakes? This is where stability comes in.

During stability work, you learn how to control motion at your most critical joints: lower back, pelvis and shoulders.

Stability is what allows you to fully use the freedom of movement gained from mobility training.

Improve
Strength

Once you have better alignment, more mobility, and good stability/ control, then you're ready to get strong.

Strength increases your capacity to tolerate life's activities, create and makes you feel strong and confident, and most importantly, it makes you more resilient to life's moving hurdles, so you will "do stuff" that you love to see develop.

Being strong means recovery will be faster and injuries will be few and welcome to thriving!
